The reported side effects are usually minor, transient, and can be easily remedied by discontinuing or reducing your sauna sessions.
The most common side effect is a rash caused by toxins being expelled too quickly through the skin (detoxing). However, this rash typically subsides in a day or so.

The number of sessions can vary depending on your health, goals, and how your body responds. While some people may benefit from 2 to 3 sessions per week, others may only need one session weekly.
After completing 10 sessions, if you’re feeling great, we recommend maintaining your health with 1-2 sessions per month.
Even those in optimal health can benefit from monthly sessions to maintain and boost their vitality.

Your first appointment is 90-minutes. This includes a comprehensive discussion regarding your current health status and your desired wellness goals. It also includes a 30-minute HOCATT™ session.
Subsequent appointments are 60-minutes and include a brief follow-up discussion on your health status and a 30-minute HOCATT™ session.

If at any point during the session you get too hot the temperature can be lowered or stopped all together. Some clients opt for shorter sessions to begin with until they’ve built up their tolerance to the heat. All features of the HOCATT™ can be increased or decreased to suit your level of comfort.

At the beginning of your session, you will have the opportunity to choose which modalities you would like to use. You can select your preferences, and throughout the session, if you wish to change or discontinue any modality, simply let us know and we will make the adjustments accordingly.

In most cases the HOCATT™ is very complimentary to conventional medications. Additionally, it can promote the absorption and bioavailability of nutrients when taking vitamin/mineral supplements.

As with almost anything, it is advised that you do not use the HOCATT™ during pregnancy.
If you are exclusively breastfeeding, be aware that a small amount of toxins could potentially pass to your baby through breast milk.
To minimise this risk, you may consider taking a natural binder before your session, such as apple or citrus pectin, activated charcoal, silica, or fresh coriander juice.
Alternatively, you can use previously pumped breast milk for the 24 hours following your HOCATT™ session.

HOCATT™ is not recommend during menstruation, as it dilates arteries and may increase blood flow.

If you experience any of the following conditions, the HOCATT™ is not appropriate for you:
Heart conditions such as previous heart failure, heart disease, heart blockage or recent heart attack (within the last six months)
Immunosuppressants
Organ transplants
Blood clotting disorders
Hemochromatosis
Hypotension and/or taking blood pressure medication
Thrombocytopenia - low blood platelet count
Recent stroke
Hyperthyroidism - a condition characterised by excessive production of thyroid hormones by the thyroid gland
Glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase (G6PD) - a genetic disorder characterised by a deficiency of the enzyme glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase
Porphyria – a rare inherited disorder that affects the body's ability to produce heme, an essential component of haemoglobin
Pregnancy
Menstruation
Fever
Active bleeding
Dehydration
Elevated blood alcohol or drug levels
